Our Life in Community
Everyone
in the community has their own talents and each of us gives the total
gift of ourselves in what we do here in Mullingar.
We work each day in St. Francis Health Village doing various
services. We cherish the elderly residents and love helping out in our
Nursing Home.
Some of our community assist in clerical duties while others help in surgery departments and medical wards.
We reach out to the wider community through the various
religious services held in the hospital chapel. We also share the Mass with the
patients in the hospital through hospital television. Those patients
who are unable to attend the chapel can receive communion daily.
Our love for one another unites us and becomes the force which sustains us in our mission to serve the Church and the world.
We seek to create an atmosphere of kindness and goodness which makes it easier to accept each other.
We do our best to accept each other's uniqueness and our life in community is built from day to day:
By trusting each other equally. There is no one here who trusts one
more than another; we trust each other as we trust ourselves.
By sharing our life, in our daily prayer, our goods, and our
gifts/talents with each other, our lay associate members and friends.
By seeking God's will together in meeting each other and listening to what each other has to say.
By participating in the Eucharist, which is the source and bond of our unity.
By helping each other in our duties, regardless of what we do, or what position we hold.
